Camping Trip! August 20-22, 2010

It’s about time to have another Fusion Fellowship camping trip!

Dates: Friday, August 20 to Sunday, August 22.
Location: Rocky Gap State Park (western Maryland)
Type of camping: “car camping” – no electricity, sleeping in tents, but other than that all the modern conveniences of bathrooms, showers, and driving right to the camp site.
Purpose: get to know your fellow Fusionites better by spending lots of time with them! There will be (optional) hiking, swimming, camp fires, s’mores and other delicious cooked-by-fire food, guitar music, card games, and more.
Cost: estimated $25 per person, covering campsite reservation fees and food for two days and nights.

Fusion Prayer Group

Announcement: Let’s get on our knees. Please join us for the Fusion Fellowship Prayer Meeting. Our plan is to meet to pray and wait on God and see how he is working through prayer around us. We will be lifting up the leadership, ministries and people of the church plant. We will also focus on the needs of those in the church and the community around us, or anything else for that matter. Everyone is invited and encouraged to be a part of this time. Whether you pray or not is up to you.

Women’s Brunch – 4/24/2010

Join us on Saturday, April 24 for our third monthly women’s social. We’ve been alternating between mornings and evenings. This month, we’re back at Hillary’s for a brunch.

We don’t have the guys to cook for us this time, so just bring a dish to share. However if Karl begs us to let him make Crepes, we won’t turn him away.

Let us know what you’re bringing on the wall.

We will worship together and then enjoy a bit of sharing time. Our theme for this month will be on LOVE. We did Faith and Hope, and now we’ll move onto the “greatest of these…Love.” If you’d like to share a story or testimony pertaining to love, please let Hillary know (hills4neil@msn.com).

This event is open to anyone, so feel free to bring a friend.

Fusion Women’s Ice Cream Social – Friday March 19, 2010

Hey Ladies, Seeing as we had such an amazing time at the Women’s Breakfast, we (being all of us) decided to make this a regular occurrence, like once a month. We’ll rotate evenings and mornings.

Thank you Jennifer for offering to host.

This is a pot luck ice cream social. When you RSVP, please add a comment to the wall with what you’ll be bringing. We don’t need more than 5 things of ice cream. But we’ll also need toppings (all kinds), beverages, some salty stuff, and cones/bowls.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANYTHING WITH NUTS. I know several people mentioned that their favorite ice cream was something involving peanut butter, but Jennifer’s son has a severe allergy, so we need to be peanut free.

The theme will be HOPE. If you’re interested in sharing a personal story related to hope in your life, please let Hillary, hills4neil@msn.com, as soon as possible. This time we only need 2 women to speak so we can have time for open share time.

Update: Fusion Women’s Breakfast

Hello Fusion Ladies,

You’re invited to Fusion’s first ever Women’s Breakfast. We’re hoping this becomes a regular event for us, a chance to get to know each other better, to fellowship with one another, and worship our God together.

We’re developing the details as we speak, but here are the basics. We’ll gather at Hillary Pennington’s house (though we’re looking at alternate locations), enjoy a yummy bite to eat, spend some time in worship led by Sarah Fishbach, and hear testimony from some of our own. In short, you won’t want to miss this.

If you’re interested in sharing a personal testimony, please let Hillary, hills4neil@msn.com, know ASAP. We’re looking for 3 women to speak on the topic of personal FAITH.

Please make sure to RSVP by February 1, so we know how much food to prepare. There will be no childcare available…sorry.

Whether your single or married, in school or working, a mom or a friend, let’s build this church on a solid foundation, unified in Christ, sisters in truth.

Due to a tremendous amount of snow forecasted to fall between Friday and Saturday AM, we’ve decided to go ahead and post pone the Breakfast. The new date will be Saturday, February 20th at 9:30 am at Hillary Pennington’s House (1303 Hubner Ave, Catonsville, MD 21228)

Fusion Fellowship Spring Break Mission Trip

Seemingly fit with Tim’s message last night of not getting too comfortable in what God is asking us to do, we are planning a short-term mission trip in early April for anyone who feels led to serve.

The tentative dates are April 5th to the 11th (HCCC’s spring break). Many details are still up in the air and we are confident God will “connect the dots” for us. We are looking at a couple of options right now, including West Virginia and North Carolina. More than likely it will be some sort of construction project or working party, but the key to any trip like this is to BE FLEXIBLE.

We are looking for volunteers to help in organizing and serving in any capacity, remember, you don’t need to go to help. We covet your prayers. Several people have already shown interest and there will be more information out on this website as soon as it becomes available. God loves us all.
