Fusion Spring Mission Trip 2009

This spring break, Fusion is looking for do-ers and go-ers! We have a wonderful opportunity to serve our Christian brothers and sisters in Louisiana. One of the many churches to have their place of worship washed away by two hurricanes is on the road to moving out of temporary housing and into a recently purchased and cleaned-out former grocery store.

In March, they will need able-bodied servants to assist with framing and hanging plasterboard. Join your fellow Fusionites in fellowship, worship, and Christ-centered service this spring break on a mission to assist North Shore Church! Space is limited, so sign up soon! Inquiries can be directed to FusionSpringBreak2009@gmail.com.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What time are we leaving?
A: Early Saturday (14th) morning.

Q: What time are we returning?
A: Early Saturday (21st) afternoon.

Q: How long of a drive is it?
A: We will be driving 13 hours the first day and 4 the second, going and coming.

Q: I don’t know how to frame or hang plasterboard. Can I still go?
A: Absolutely. There will be a training session prior to the trip. If you can’t make the training, at least you will be on a work team with those who can show you the ropes.

Q: How do I RSVP?
A: Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please email FusionSpringBreak2009@gmail.com if you wish to attend.

Q: Where will we be staying?
A: We are staying at a church several blocks away from North Shore Church.  You will need a cot and sleeping bag!

Q:  How do I ask someone to help me financially? Where do I inquire about a $75 scholarship?
A: See the Missions Policy document for guidelines and requirements (Section IV D). Because Grace missions often run more than $150, you might suggest a maximum amount (well under $150), if you write multiple letters. Please take note of the policy on extra funds.
