Welcome to the Fusion Kidz Garden Newsletter We hope you all enjoyed the weather last week and some of the cooler temperatures this weekend. Please read below to get more information about our current outreach program collecting items for Operation Christmas Child as well as some location changes for the rest of July. In the Preschool class the kids learned about Paul and Silas teaching other people about God. They made megaphones to help them praise God and make their voices louder to share stories about God with other people. In PreK & Elementary the kids heard the story about Abraham and how he wore the breastplate of righteousness in trusting God and waiting. God promised Abraham he’d have more grandchildren than stars in the sky, but Abraham had to be patient and trust God to follow through on His promises. The kids talked about patience and keeping promises in their own lives. |

Christmas in July It’s time to prepare for Operation Christmas Child! Before the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season is upon us, we are getting a head start on helping others! The Fusion Kidz Garden will be collecting plastic shoe boxes, hard candy, school supplies, tooth brushes & toothpaste, bars of soap, wash cloths, small toys, playing cards, balls, craft supplies, small stuffed animals, and other appropriate toys/health care items during the month of July to jump start our OCC project. The collection bin will be available in the Kidz Garden area of the lobby. If you have any questions please see Tanya Curtis or Clare Davis. |

Watering Can: Patience and Promises Abraham, Paul, and Silas all had to practice patience in waiting for God to fulfill His promises to them. Paul and Silas trusted God and used their faith in Him while in jail to teach other people about God. Abraham knew God said he’d have many grandchildren but he didn’t know how it would happen. He had to be patient and trust in God. Butterflies are a beautiful example of patience and promises. They spend a long time as a caterpillar waiting patiently for their time to become a butterfly, but it isn’t easy. They have to work hard spinning a cocoon and then spend more time inside the cocoon transforming into a butterfly. After all that waiting they have to work hard one more time to break free of the cocoon. But it’s the struggle to get free that finishes their change. Take a walk with your children and try to find caterpillars or butterflies. Talk about the different stages they go through, the patience and hard work they have to put in, and the final promise of becoming a butterfly. You can also draw pictures of butterflies with crayons, markers, yarn, tissue paper, and many other things you can find around your house. |

Welcome To The Garden
Your little ones are like seeds, ready to grow and become beautiful plants. All they need is some good soil, water, and of course sun. Your family provides the soil for their little roots to take hold in. We hope to work with you to provide water, the Word of God, to nourish them and help them feel the light of the Son. |

Fall Curriculum The Kids Garden is stepping out and planning on writing their own curriculum for the Fall. We hope to develop something that is Bible based, engages the children, and is easy for our volunteers. We have some ideas and themes but would love for anyone who has ideas about curriculum or activities in the classroom to join us for a planning meeting on the 8th of August. This will be a brainstorming meeting starting at 9am. Lunch will be provided, but feel free to bring a snack to share, we hope to wrap things up around 2pm. Childcare is not provided but breastfeeding infants are welcome. If you have any questions or dietary needs for lunch please talk to Katy Linda. |

Looking Ahead Next week our lesson for Preschool is to learn about how David asks God to help him be brave in 1Samuel 21:1-15 and Psalm 43:4-7 and how we can ask God for things we need as well. The Pre-K & Elem will learn about Jacob and Laban making a treaty in Genesis 31:22-55 and the Shoes of Peace for the Armor of God |
