Theme of the Week: God is forgiving, so we accept others John 8:1-11 |
|
|
Welcome to the Fusion Kidz Garden Newsletter Dear *|FNAME|*, This week we heard another story about Jesus forgiving someone. One day some men brought a woman to Jesus because she had been sinning. They were going to punish the woman for sinning by throwing stones at her. Jesus asked if any of them had never sinned. Slowly they all left because they knew they were sinners too. After the woman said she was sorry and that she loved Jesus, He forgave her for her sins. It’s easy to get mad at someone or want to see them punished for doing something wrong. But often we forget that we ourselves are sinners. Help your child to remember the next time they get upset because a friend takes a toy away, that they have probably taken a toy away from someone as well. Instead of being angry encourage them to go talk to the friend and forgive them for taking the toy away. |

Buzz at Home Kits New Buzz at Home Kit!! Please pick one up on the name tag table if you haven’t already. The buzz kit contains a bouncy ball that has “bubbles” all over it in different shapes and colors. The “bubbles” make it bounce crazy. If you don’t have one yet this week’s activity can be done with a small ball that bounces. You will also find our newest CD with the take home kits. The CDs include the worship songs the kids are learning as well as some of the songs that go along with this quarter’s curriculum theme. |

Buzz at Home Jesus Deosn’t Throw Stones – John 8:1-11 This week, your child learned about a time Jesus showed a sinful woman that God is forgiving, so we accept others. Pass the Buzz Bubble Ball around with your family, and have everyone describe how it feels. Then have everyone describe the contrast between the ball’s texture and a stone’s texture. (If you have a stone available, pass it around for comparison.) Bounce the Buzz Bubble Ball, and discuss how it drops differently than a stone would. Ask: - How Did feeling the ball remind you of today’s story - What are some ways that Jesus’ forgiveness is like the Buzz Bubble Ball Pray together, asking God to help you forgive others. |

Watering Can: The Cookie Jar Try to find a container that you can fit your hand in when empty but not when your fist is closed. A toy ring or anything with an opening that will allow your hand to get “Stuck” works as well. Put something, like a toy, inside the jar. Show your child how if you put your hand in and grab the toy your hand becomes stuck. You can only be free if you let go of the toy. This is just like our sins. We want to be forgiven but don’t always let go of the bad behavior that causes us to sin. The woman in the story left her life of sin when Jesus forgave her. |

| Easter Service Special Event
To celebrate Easter and Fusion CP’s official launch the children from the toddler class and up will be coming into service join us for worship and singing the song they’ve been practicing in the Garden. Please continue practicing the signs with your child. The song can be found on your Spring Garden CD, available next Sunday. It will be wonderful if the kids see people in the audience doing the signs along with them. The song is “Love the Lord” by Lincoln Brewster. Love – Cross arms across chest Lord – Make an “L” with your right hand, touch it to your left shoulder then drag it down your torso to your right hip. Heart – Draw a heart using your 2 middle fingers on your chest Soul – on both hands put your thumb and pointer together like pinching. Put all 4 fingers together right hand over left. Keeping fingers pinched move the right hand up into the air like a ghost or smoke Mind – Tap your temple twice with right pointer finger Strength – Make muscles with both arms and closed fists Serve – Both hands open palms facing up and waist height. Shuffle hands back and forth like pacing out plates Praise – Right pointer finger at mouth comes down and around to left hand and claps twice Trust – Both hands open facing body, right above left. Close hands like grabbing onto a rope. |

Welcome To The Garden
Your little ones are like seeds, ready to grow and become beautiful plants. All they need is some good soil, water, and of course sun. Your family provides the soil for their little roots to take hold in. We hope to work with you to provide water, the Word of God, to nourish them and help them feel the light of the Son. Looking Ahead Next Sunday’s lesson is from Luke 7:36-50 and is the story of the woman who anointed Jesus’ feet. Once again Jesus meets a person who had done bad things, but she humbled herself to wash his feet and ask forgiveness. |
