Theme of the Week: God is forgiving, so we help others know Jesus Luke 5:17-25 |
|
|
Welcome to the Fusion Kidz Garden Newsletter This was our first week for the spring quarter. For this quarter we will focus on how God is forgiving. The kids heard the story of Jesus healing a paralyzed man. One day while Jesus was teaching some men wanted to bring their paralytic friend to Him to be healed. They could not get through the front door because of the crowd. So they went up onto the roof and lowered him on a mat through the ceiling tiles down right in front of Jesus. When Jesus saw their faith him said “Friend, your sins are forgiven.” He then told the man to get up, take his mat, and walk home. The man had been healed and everyone who saw was amazed. The man’s friends had to think hard to find a way to get their friend to Jesus. But they knew how important it was for him to know Jesus. In class the children had to think of a way to get a balloon across the room without using their hands. Sometimes we are faced with obstacles and we have to find new ways to do things. Tell your child a story of a time you had to think of a new way to do something. |

Watering Can: Snack Mats Take some graham crackers and spread some cheese spread, peanut butter, jelly, etc on the cracker. Place some pretzel sticks on top to represent the man lying on his mat. Talk about how his friends carried him all the way to the house and up onto the roof so he could meet Jesus. It was hard work but knowing Jesus is worth it. |

Buzz at Home New Buzz at Home Kit!! Please pick one up in your child’s classroom if you haven’t already. The buzz kit contains a bouncy ball that has “bubbles” all over it in different shapes and colors. The “bubbles” make it bounce crazy. If you don’t have one yet this week’s activity can be done with a small ball that bounces. This week, your child learned about a group of friends who lowered their paralyzed friend through a roof to see Jesus! They knew that God is forgiving, so we help others know Jesus. Designate a small circle (about one foot in diameter) to represent where Jesus was standing in the house. Pretend that the Buzz Bubble Ball is the paralyzed man, and you need to get him to Jesus. Have family members take turns dropping the Buzz Bubble Ball to get it to land and stay in the circle. It will most likely bounce out of the circle every time. After everyone has had a turn, try it again, this time with everyone helping the dropper by forming a wall with their arms and legs to keep the ball from bouncing out of the “Jesus” spot. ASK: How was this game like or unlike today’s story? |

| Easter Service Special Event
To celebrate Easter and Fusion CP’s official launch the children from the toddler class and up will be coming into service join us for worship and singing the song they’ve been practicing in the Garden. Please continue practicing the signs with your child. The song can be found on your Spring Garden CD, available next Sunday. It will be wonderful if the kids see people in the audience doing the signs along with them. The song is “Love the Lord” by Lincoln Brewster. Love – Cross arms across chest Lord – Make an “L” with your right hand, touch it to your left shoulder then drag it down your torso to your right hip. Heart – Draw a heart using your 2 middle fingers on your chest Soul – on both hands put your thumb and pointer together like pinching. Put all 4 fingers together right hand over left. Keeping fingers pinched move the right hand up into the air like a ghost or smoke Mind – Tap your temple twice with right pointer finger Strength – Make muscles with both arms and closed fists Serve – Both hands open palms facing up and waist height. Shuffle hands back and forth like pacing out plates Praise – Right pointer finger at mouth comes down and around to left hand and claps twice Trust – Both hands open facing body, right above left. Close hands like grabbing onto a rope. |

Welcome To The Garden
Your little ones are like seeds, ready to grow and become beautiful plants. All they need is some good soil, water, and of course sun. Your family provides the soil for their little roots to take hold in. We hope to work with you to provide water, the Word of God, to nourish them and help them feel the light of the Son. Happy Birthday 3/7 – Julia Heetderks |
