Theme of the Week: God is forgiving, so we work together Acts 15:36-41; 2 Timothy 4:11 |
|
|
Welcome to the Fusion Kidz Garden Newsletter This Sunday your children learned how arguments with friends can affect them. They heard the story of Paul and Mark and how their argument made it harder for them to tell others about Jesus. Paul and Mark had a very important job. They traveled around together and told everyone they met about Jesus. One time though Mark left and didn’t help Paul to do their work. This made Paul angry and he didn’t want to work with Mark anymore. But later Paul forgave Mark for leaving and they became friends again. God is happy when we forgive others, and he wants us to work together to tell others about Him. God is forgiving, so we work together. |

Buzz at Home This week, your child learned that Paul didn’t want to take Mark along on a mission trip because he’d proved unfaithful before. Later, Paul forgave Mark and asked to see him again. God is forgiving, so we work together like Paul and Mark. Have two family members stand side by side at one end of a room. Let them work together to hold the Buzz Bubble Ball with only one finger each as they try to get the ball across the room. Repeat the activity until every family member has made it across the room. Ask:
Pray together, asking God to help you work together as a family. |

Watering Can: Better Together Using some old magazines or pictures have your child find pictures of activities they like doing with friends and pictures of people playing together. Create a collage with these pictures on construction paper or cardstock. Talk about the pictures while they dry. Once the collage is dry use scissors to cut the collage up into pieces. The size and number of pieces will vary based on your child’s age. Talk to them about how arguments can separate people and they don’t get to have fun together anymore. Then help your child reassemble the collage and talk about how when we apologize to friends or forgive them when they apologize we’re able to play and work together again, which makes God happy. |

Welcome To The Garden
Your little ones are like seeds, ready to grow and become beautiful plants. All they need is some good soil, water, and of course sun. Your family provides the soil for their little roots to take hold in. We hope to work with you to provide water, the Word of God, to nourish them and help them feel the light of the Son. Food Bank Challenge The Fusion Kidz Garden is coordinating a Spring Food Bank challenge for Fusion Fellowship Church. We will be collecting canned goods and non-perishable items to donate to the Food Pantry at Charm City Church. This is the time of year when the shelves start to get bare and people go without food. We have been teaching the kids about the gifts God gives to us and that we should share those gifts with others. We have been blessed with the ability to feed our families and now it’s time for us to share that gift with others. Please join us in helping our children share the gifts that have been given to them. We will be collecting food each Sunday in May and the food will be given to Charm City Church the first week in June. If you have any questions please see Katy, Clare, or Amy, or email us at kids@fusionfellowship.org. |

Looking Ahead In order to maintain a safe environment for the kids we ask that you please not allow your children to bring any food from home into the classrooms. All snacks should be finished in the lobby area and hands and face should be washed before they are dropped off. Please try and avoid snacks that contain peanut butter before church to protect any children who may have allergies. Water and snacks will be provided in all classrooms. The only exception is bottles for infants with breast milk or premixed formula. If your child’s dietary needs require specific foods or for your child to eat at certain times please let the coordinator know so we can accommodate those needs. |
