November 2009 Newsletter – 11/01/2009

Fusion CP Kidz Garden

Welcome to the Fusion Kidz Garden Newsletter

During the month of November we will be talking about being thankful to God.  In class we introduced this idea by talking about the food we eat, warm clothing we wear, our families, and coming to church to learn about God.  Take some time each day to sit as a
family and talk about things you are thankful for.  You’ll be amazed at the things kids come up with!

Operation Christmas Child

The Fusion Garden will be participating in Operation Christmas Child this year.  Operation Christmas Child delivers millions of gift-filled shoe boxes to needy children around the world.  We’d like to set a challenge for Fusion CP of completing 1 box per child in our church, that’s 28 boxes.  This is not limited to Children’s Ministry, but collection and drop-off will coordinated by us.  Please help us spread the word to everyone in the church.

How it works:  Bring in any of the following items  – small toys (cars, yo-yos, jump ropes) school supplies (crayons, markers, stamps) hygiene items (tooth brushes,
toothpaste, combs) other items such as  candy, t-shirts, baseball hats, toy jewelry, sunglasses, even pictures of your family or drawings made by your kids.  Empty shoe boxes (cardboard or plastic) are also needed.

We’ll wrap and pack up the shoe boxes and deliver them to a collection center.  There is a $7 cost to ship each box so donations of money to cover shipping are also
appreciated
.   You can also donate money for us to use to purchase toys.

We’ll be collecting items and money for the next 2 Sundays, ending November 15th.

You can find more detailed information on the Samariatan’s PurseWebsite.

Volunteer Training Session

Please join us Sunday November 22nd at 4pm for volunteer training.  We will be reviewing the vision for Fusion Kidz Garden, new policies and procedures, and of course our NEW curriculum.  Training will be held in the conference room in the lobby of Grace. Snacks and refreshments will be provided and children will be supervised in Tot Zone.

Cover Every Cough and Sneeze!

It’s cold and flu season!  Make sure your kids wash their hands frequently.  Being well rested and drinkingplenty of fluids can also help keep your body healthy.  Please review our sick policy so we can help prevent sharing bugs in our classrooms.

Welcome To The Garden

Sprout

Your little ones are like seeds, ready to grow and become beautiful plants. All they need is some good soil, water, and of course sun. Your family provides the soil for their little roots to take hold in. We hope to work with you to provide water, the Word of God, to nourish them and help them feel the light of the Son.

Our Vision

Glorifying God by building a safe community where kids, parents, and volunteers can go one step further
