This Sunday 9/6/2009: Prayer Walk

Mission:

We have a wonderful opportunity before us.  We are trying to get some momentum started, and the best way to make sure it is in the right direction, is to rely on God’s leading.  AND, the best way to get his leading is to be in communication with him.  So we are planning a prayer walk for September 6th instead of a normal service.  This is the first week we are officially a gathering that desires to plant a church in the Catonsville/Elkridge region.

Pray:

We’re planning to break up into groups to go and pray for many of the neighborhoods we hope to be a part of soon.  We are praying for:

  • The people we see, for those who might come.
  • The community needs to be revealed to us so we can join in the efforts.
  • Our hearts to be made ready to serve these communities.
  • God to use us to further his kingdom.
  • Praying for a location.

Schedule:

3:00 – Gather at the Pavillion
3:15 – Be sent out to pray
5:00 – Worship and share what God is doing (child care provided for 2 up)
6:15 – Picnic
7:30 – Cleanup

Location:

This is so cool! I’ll be praying for you guys from Syracuse, NY though. I’m going to visit family that weekend. Can’t wait to hear about it!

Yeah, it’s going to be very cool. A little scary, a little fun, a little outside of most people’s comfort zone. But still a blast.
